About Ethan Place
Founded by The Order of the Eastern Star (OES), Ethan Place has proudly served Rhode Island seniors for over 55 years, providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming place to call home. Owned and operated by O.E.S. Home of Rhode Island, Inc., Ethan Place is a nonprofit, nonsectarian assisted living community fully licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
At Ethan Place, we believe in supporting independence while providing the assistance residents need to live comfortably and confidently. As a Residential Care Community, our focus is on helping residents maintain their daily routines rather than performing tasks for them whenever possible. This approach promotes dignity, choice, and quality of life.
Our community is designed for seniors who require assistance with daily living activities but do not need the level of care provided in a nursing home. Services include medication administration, nutritious home-cooked meals, housekeeping, laundry services, shopping assistance, and engaging recreational activities.
Care & Community
Residents receive compassionate, individualized nursing care designed to support their health and well-being. From medication management and routine health monitoring to physician coordination and personalized care planning, our experienced team is here to ensure residents receive the attention and support they need while maintaining the highest possible level of independence.
At Ethan Place, we believe wellness extends beyond medical care. Our wellness program promotes healthy living through blood pressure clinics, educational health talks, pet therapy, and support for residents living with chronic conditions. These programs encourage physical, emotional, and social well-being while helping residents remain active, engaged, and connected.
Our recreation program enriches residents' lives through meaningful activities that encourage socialization, creativity, movement, and fun. From arts and crafts, music, and games to fitness classes, holiday celebrations, and special events, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
At Ethan Place, mealtime is about more than great food—it's about comfort, choice, and community. As a smaller residence, we're able to offer a wider variety of menu options and accommodate individual preferences whenever possible.
